Meet Meg- Playologist

We're thrilled to shine the spotlight on Meg. She is a rare gem and we are so lucky to have her be apart of the My World family.

Meg brings a joyful sense of wonder to the Museum each day. 

Her favorite thing about working at the museum is being able to watch a child walk into the museum for the first time full of wonder and excitement. Those moments of discovery are what make the magic of play come alive.

When Meg isn't helping spark curiosity and creativity at the museum, she enjoys curling up to a good book. She is currently reading Starling House by Alix E. Harrow. 

Her favorite color is green, and if she had to pick a spirit animal, it would be a deer- gentle, curious and kind. Meg also has a sweet tooth for Malted Moo Ice cream, and if she could meet anyone famous it would be Elvis Castello. 

​If you ask Meg what she wants to be when she grows up, it might surprise you- her dream is to become a crossword puzzle constructor.

We are so grateful for the warmth and imagination Meg brings to our museum and community every day.

With budget cuts in education, Pocatello children have lost out on core development programming. At My World Discovery Museum, we provide avenues to enrich the children and youth of our community. Research has shown that science museums enhance the learning of individuals of all ages and help recruit a new generation of innovators. These centers are one of the few destinations where families can spend their leisure time to explore, invent, tinker, and learn. As classrooms move toward standardized curriculum and testing, museums provide a unique experience for students and teachers to engage in a free choice learning zone that stimulates curiosity, excitement, and wonder.
